Hours: Start from 9:00 am to noon. Finish by 3 pm.
Distance: 10K and 5K
Rating: 1B The walk is not suitable for strollers or for wheelchairs.
Special Programs: Bridges, City Parks, Walk the USA - M, and Wisconsin Counties - Dane
Directions: From Hwy 12/18 take exit 264 right on South Towne Dr which becomes Raywood Rd. Turn left on Moorland Rd which will veer right to become Lake Farm Rd. Turn left on Libby Road to 4300 Libby Road and proceed into the the park to the second shelter.
Parking: Ample parking is available.
Description: The walk will take you on the new Lower Yahara River Trail that crosses over Lake Waubesa into McDaniel Park in McFarland. The route follows Lake Waubesa in some places, passes through both wooded and prairie areas of Lake Farm County Park, and enters Capital Springs Recreation Area.
Awards & Fees: There will be no pre-registration or award for this walk. Credit Only: $3.00 Youth/Adult Non-Credit: $2.00
Pets: Pets are permitted with a leash and a county permit.
Amenities: Restrooms and water are available at the start point and along the walk.
