Hours: Start Noon to 3 pm. Finish by 5 pm.
Distance: 10K and 6K
Rating: 3C This walk is not suitable for strollers or for wheelchairs.
Special Programs: Walk the USA - S and Wisconsin Counties - Calumet.
Directions: Follow US 151 north from Madison thru Fond du Lac and past the Village of Brotherton. Turn left on WI 55. In Sherwood, turn left on Clifton Rd whicch becomes Spring Hill Dr. Enter High Cliff State Park (park stick or pass is required) to the start point at the Pines Shelter.
Parking: Ample parking is available.
Description: This walk features trails and features of High Cliff State Park on the shores of Lake Winnebago. It includes spectacular views of the lake, old lime kiln ruins, a series of Indian Mounds, and abandoned lime stone quarry, a cliff top observation tower, and an historic cemetery.
Awards & Fees: There will be no pre-registration or award for this walk. All Walker: $3.00
Pets: Pets are not permitted.
Amenities: Restrooms and water are available at the start point and along the walk.
