Directions:
|
From I-90 exit west on Hwy 12/18 and proceed
west to John Nolen Drive. Follow John Nolen Drive to the end where
it joins Williamson Street. Machinery Row Bicycles is on the right
in a old "castle-looking" building with a turret on the front.Entry
is at the rear of the building near the lakeshore. |

Parking:

Two-hour parking is
available in the Law Park City Parking Lot just south of the bike shop.
Saturday morning parking may be limited. |
| Description: |
The 27K is
primarily on city bike paths and bike routes and goes around Lake Monona. Can
include stops at Olbrich Botanical Gardens, Henry Vilas Zoo, and Monona Terrace.
The 35K is an extension of the 27K route and includes a trip around Lake Wingra
and through the UW Arboretum. Both cross the Yahara River and include portions
of abandoned rail beds. The 30K route
includes portions of the new Capitol City Bike Trail. The 30K route requires
a State Bike Trail Permit. Registration is available on the trail.
NOTE: Only one event credit, even if more
than one route completed. |
