with the Midwest's premiere walking event "Walk Wisconsin" which is sponsored by
Active Portage County, Inc. Walk Wisconsin is the primary event and
is not the AVA sanctioned event. The organizers of Walk Wisconsin
have graciously agreed to allow
this AVA Sanctioned event to be offered along with their walk.
Therefore, in addition to registering for this event, you must also
separately register for the Walk Wisconsin event.

42K walkers will start at Pfiffner Park at 8:00 a.m.
21K walkers will be transported from Pfiffner Park to the start location for an
11:30 a.m. start.
10K walkers will be transported from Pfiffner Park to the start location for an
12:30 p.m. start. |

Directions:
|
Stevens
Point is located about 100 miles north of Madison. From Madison, take
I-90/94/39 North about 30 miles. Take exit 108 onto I-39 toward Portage/Wausau.
After about 75 miles take exit 161 for US-51 Bus toward Stevens Point.
You will be entering Stevens Point from the North. Merge onto Division St
for 1 mile. Turn right onto Franklin St and proceed 0.9 mile to Pfiffner Park
which will be on your left. |

Walkers will experience a well signed route that passes
several rivers, lakes and other interesting ecosystems. |

There will be no award for this AVA event.
However, there is an award for all finishers of the Walk Wisconsin
events. |

There will be no pre-registration for this AVA
event. However, you must pre-register for the Walk Wisconsin
event before May 31, 2010.
