From Madison:  Traveling west on US Hwy 14, turn north on State Hwy 23 to Plain, then turn right at the Shell/Quick Trip Station and look to your left on the corner of Park Ave and County Trunk B/Main Street. 

Ample street parking is available.

This walk is around the Village of Plain and takes you to a Civil War cemetery and beautiful St. Anne’s Hill that is the focal point of a shrine and Stations of the Cross that lead the way to St. Anne Shrine and Chapel.  Before the early settlers made the hill a shrine, it was the Council Bluff for the Winnebago Indians.
